
NSIC was founded to function as a mediator to help Small Scale Industries and to promote and support the growth of MSMEs operating in India. It offers unified support services across a range of industries, including marketing, finance, and support services. In order to participate in government purchases, it registers Micro & Small Enterprises under the Single Point Registration Scheme. Enterprises with MSME or Udyog Aadhaar registration can apply online or in person at one of the NSIC offices for registration. When an application is submitted, the NSIC sends it to the zonal, branch, or sub-branch office that is closest to the applicant for technical inspection of the unit and transmission of a recommendation for NSIC registration.
